Do you know that you serve El Roi , the Lord who Sees you?
Hello Friend,
Do you know that you serve El Roi, the Lord who Sees you?
"
“He entered Jericho and was passing through. And he was seeking to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small in stature. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today.”” - Luke 19:1,3,5
"Zacchaeus climbed a tree to see the Christ, but he himself, was unseen, unknown and overlooked by those around him. Simply put, he was hidden in plain sight.
And yet, in the middle of a crowd, whilst others did not give him a second glance, Jesus stopped, looked up, and called him by name.
This is the same God who sees you right now.
He knows where you are: In your bedroom. In your office. In the quiet places where nobody else is watching.
But also...He knows where you are: He sees the tears you haven't shown anyone. He sees the anguish behind the smile. He sees the weariness, the frustration, the shrinking of yourself. He sees it all.
And He calls you to Him, by name.
Jesus said to Zacchaeus that "Tonight, I must dine in your home."
And He says to you "Tonight Friend, I must visit you where you are. And I bring with me My peace, My hope, Myself."
I want to remind you, that just as Hagar experienced the Omniscient, Omnipresent nature of God in her darkest moment and called Him El Roi (Genesis 16:13-14), you can experience Him in the very same way because His nature has not changed (Hebrews 13:8).
You too, are not hidden from His sight.
So, even if you feel invisible to the people around you, even if you feel unknown, unloved and unseen, the real reality is that you are fully known by the One who matters most...
...and He is just not passing by. He sees, stops and calls you by name.
I want to remind you that you are loved with an everlasting love, you have been chosen, accepted and declared righteous who Jesus Christ the Son of God - who has never left you, nor forsaken you.
Let's pray:
Heavenly Father, for the lost, anxious and weary soul reading this today, I pray that visit them and bring them the peace, love and hope, that only You can give. May they experience Your presence with gladness and joy.
In Jesus Name. Amen
Fix your eyes and go deeper.
